Sheep for Sale

This year I have bred 5 ewes and they will lamb between mid April and early May.   Lambs will be ready to move to new homes sometime in early August.   The breedings are as follows:

  1. Wee Croft Wendall (brown) X Wee Croft Gwendolyn (gray):   These lambs will be gray, fawn, black or possibly brown.

  2. Wee Croft Wendall (brown) X Wee Croft Lilac (gray):   Same color probabilities as for number 1.

  3. Wee Croft Wendall (brown) X Wee Croft Helsinki (white):   I believe Helsinki is homozygous for white and thus, these babies will probably all be white, but carry for brown.   If she is heterozygous for white, then she could produce white, black and brown lambs.

  4. Wee Croft Short Tail (white) X Wee Croft Pumpkin (brown):   Lambs can be white, brown or black.

  5. Wee Croft Short Tail (white) X Wee Croft Nutmeg (brown).   Same probabilities as number 4.

Lambs will vary in cost depending on their color and the number of lambs born per ewe.   On average, ram lambs will go for $350+ and ewe lambs for $300+.   Wethers cost $100.

If you are interested in purchasing lambs from me, please feel free to contact me at weecroft@hughes.net.
